See, I told Diluc it'd be fine to fight me with his weapon, but he felt like it would be unfair. As if I haven't fought guys with all kinds of weapons before. It's not like he'd kill me in a spar or anything.
[Diluc's consideration was cute, really. A little unnecessary, but cute nonetheless.
...But also maybe that says way too much about Chuuya. Does he really have any place to judge Diluc for his injury here?]
So if you're less hesitant about fighting a martial artist while armed... well. The offer still stands. This place gets dreadfully boring, compared to my hometown. If it makes you feel better, I do know how to use a knife?
[Honestly, he was worried he'd get rusty without any fights in this world. A real problem, given his job.]
Oh? How fun are we talking? Gonna get the drop on him?
Well, it most cases it would be unfair. One wrong move and we could accidentally cut your life short.
If you insist, however, then I'll oblige. I'll use my ice sword instead then, rather than my actual sword as compromise, yes? Or a bokken.
Speak of the devil, hold please.
[Diluc had just come home and even without the warning from Chuuya, Kaeya noticed the subtle difference. Still, the heads up made it all the more easy to spot and while he didn't have the device set to audio or video, Kaeya was quite pleased with himself as got the drop on Diluc.
Very cold, frosted hands right up his shirt and pressed against those bruised ribs. After some fussing later, Kaeya returned.]
He is now seated on the couch with an ice pack that will take longer than normal ice to melt and looking adorably grumpy.
You say that, but I've been assuming you're both proficient enough that the risk is fairly low. I've been fighting since pretty much my first memories, so I'd like to think I've got a good sense of opponents.
But an ice sword sounds like fun, actually. Would love to see what you can do with that.
[He wonders about the durability and efficiency. Is it as sharp as a real blade? Is it sharper? How much force could--
..Oh, looks like Diluc's home. Chuuya waits for Kaeya to come back, letting his mind wander a little bit before the next text comes and a grin settles on his lips.]
Good. If he complains, it's only what he deserves. Though I'm almost sad missing out on his grumping, that sounds fun.
I use it as I would a normal sword, but it's a bit more versatile and allows me to use my Cryo abilities with far greater accuracy if need be. Also, if it breaks, I can make a new one, easy.
[He wasn't going to go into further argument over fighting an unarmed man while armed, so he had left it at that. Fighting dirty was not out of the question, but in a friendly spar, he certainly didn't like to resort to such tactics.]
I'm sure you will have your chance some other time. You're very persistent when taking care of others, after all.
Ah, I'm quite touched that you consider me a friend.
[Did they sound a little insincere? Probably. Kaeya was still in the "unsure" phase with Chuuya, no matter how well he got on with Diluc. It was just in his nature to take a little time to warm up to another person and truly consider them a friend rather than simple acquaintance.]

[Far greater accuracy, huh... He's terribly curious to see what Kaeya can do.]
Oh probably. And you say that like it's a bad thing! I like to look out for my friends, that's all. Surely you'd agree that's fine?
['That's all' he says, as if he doesn't practically bully people he likes into getting taken care of or taking better care of themselves.
...Okay, he's been protecting his people since he was a kid, it's pathological.]
