Mostly because it also validated his own feelings growing up, but never having acted on those feelings because his life was complicated even before he told the other man the truth about his origins. Still, he returned the kiss and then, purposefully, grinned a toothy grin at him.]

[Diluc huffs, planting his palm over Kaeya's mouth for a moment before he moves it to kiss him again. Kaeya had admittedly had more reasons to smile lately and more confidence to smile like that and it would have only been a matter of time before Diluc's weakness to that particular look had been found out.]

Diluc deliberately drapes his entire weight against Kaeya's chest, grinning right back at him.]
[Kaeya laughed into the huff of a groan as Diluc dropped his weight on his chest like that. But his arms managed their way around the pillow to play with that fluffy red and blue hair, still slightly damp with bath water and sweat. He only playfully smiled against against the hand over his mouth, keeping him silent for the moment.
He returned the kiss now that he was able and shrugged as best as he could while pinned down like this.]

You stopped doing it when we couldn't share rooms anymore and the last four years wasn't exactly conducive to getting smacked with a pillow just for smiling...
[It's become easier to think back on those times of late. The sting that always came with reminiscing has gone as his love for this man has grown stronger, and he thinks that even if their relationship had not taken this turn they would still be able to look at their past with more fondness than before.
Diluc drops a kiss to the other man's shoulder, smiling into it.]

[Kaeya teased lightly but settled in all the same. Honestly, he was a little flattered Diluc had a crush on him since their were kids. It validated his own crush, certainly.
But now was time to sleep he settled in easy as the drowsiness of the evening and their late night activities finally washed over him.]
[He's sure that they talked about it before, but he doesn't think that he told Kaeya just how far back his crush on the other man went. It was one thing to say he had had feelings for him when they were teenagers, but something else to admit that it went even further than that.]
